Comau MATE-XT is a lightweight passive exoskeleton that supports the shoulders and arms during repeated or sustained work with raised arms. Its spring-based assistance helps reduce muscular effort during tasks such as overhead assembly, fastening, painting and maintenance, while allowing the wearer to move naturally.
- Weight: Small 2.95 kg / 6.5 lb; Large 3.0 kg / 6.6 lb.
- Supporting assistance: Eight adjustable mechanical assistance levels, selected for the wearer and task.
- Materials: Lightweight carbon-fiber structure, breathable textiles and ergonomic arm cuffs.
- Operating temperature: 0°C to +45°C / 32°F to 113°F. Eight-hour daily use only at 30°C / 86°F or below.
- Protection: IP54, UV-resistant.
- Power: Passive spring-based system. No motors, batteries or charging.
- Compliance: Handbook includes CE conformity documentation referencing Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and EN ISO 13482:2014.
- Intended use: Workplace use by adults following individual fitting, training and manufacturer instructions.
Size guide
MATE-XT comes in Small (S) and Large (L). Comau's handbook selects the size by the wearer's height and shoulder width:

Shorter wearers with broad shoulders (about 44 cm / 17 in or more) may also fit L. Measure shoulder width without wearing the device. Both sizes have adjustable shoulder width and six lumbar support positions for fine fitting. In the overlap range or unsure, send us the wearer's height and shoulder width and we will confirm the size before ordering.
